Papa Vaughn Visits

Papa Vaughn & Brandee visited us this past weekend. They were here from May 20th - May 23rd.

Friday, May 20th, we visited Parkville. We ate lunch at Stone Canyon Pizza and walked through all of the shops and boutiques. We then walked to English Landing Park where we played our hearts out and admired the Missouri River.

Saturday, May 21st, we went out on the pontoon and checked trot lines with Trevor. Needless to say we had quite the catch and my dad and Brandee really enjoyed it! Well, we all did! That was the best fishing day Trevor has ever had!

Sunday, May 22nd, we took a trip to the Kansas City Zoo. Dad and Brandee had recently traveled to the San Diego Zoo and said that KC took the prize! 

Monday, May 23rd, we celebrated Papa Vaughn's Birthday (coming up on May 30th) by baking him chocolate chip cookies and singing "Happy Birthday" to him. The kids said their goodbyes and we spent the rest of the afternoon at Bass Pro (ours is way bigger than theirs) and had a late lunch/early dinner together. The drop offs at the airport are always hard but I managed to somewhat keep it together. Until next time!
